Includes The Gregg-Owsley-Poyntz Family. Jane Owsley, daughter of Major Thomas Owsley, was the wife of James Gregg (living 1724). The Greggs were residents of Stafford County, Virginia and the parents of at least 7 children.

Vanderbilt University Press website for "Frank Lawrence Owsley - Historian of the Old South: A Memoir," by his wife, Harriet C. Owsley (1901-1999). Frank Owsley served as Professor of History at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee, 1927- 1949; and at the University of Alabama, 1949-1951, and head of the department of history there, 1951-1954.

Garrett Folklore and Fact (Note: This site has been taken down indefinitly.)
Published quarterly since October 1992 by Cathy Wood Osborn, Garrett Folklore and Fact focuses on matters historical and genealogical concerning the Garrett family in England and America. Edward Garrett (1735-1794) married Ann Owsley (c1744-1823), daughter of Thomas and Ann Owsley, last of Fairfax County, Virginia. The couple had 16 children.
